Can I throw the box away after I unpack my PURE Juicer?
We strongly recommend that you keep the box. If any repair is needed for your PURE in the future, it is the best way to ship the juicer back. If you ship in a different box, it may void the warranty.
What’s the best location to unpack the PURE Juicer?
Set the box in a location close to where you will position the juicer for regular use. The box is designed so that the juicer doesn’t have to be lifted out of the top of the box.
Please be careful! The PURE Juicer is a well made machine and is very heavy.
How To Assemble
How long does it take to assemble the PURE Juicer?
The PURE Juicer can be assembled in just a few minutes. The “How to Assemble” video explains it all in a step by step fashion.
How do I attach the feed tube to the base unit?
Slide the feed tube gently over the cutter. Position the line on the feed tube plate with the line on the machine where it says, “In.” Gently turn the feed tube clockwise until you hear the click. You’re good to go!
How To Juice
How do I prevent kick back? I’ve heard about veggies come right back out the feed housing.
Our patent pending feed housing is specially designed to virtually eliminate kick back. But just to be safe, keep the pusher positioned over the top of the housing when you’re putting vegetables in.
What size grid should I be using?
Your PURE Juicer arrives with a set of 7 grids from 2.5mm – 10mm. Below is a guide for which grid to use depending on what you are using your PURE Juicer for. In case of clogging, move up to the next grid size.
2.5 mm – 15 holes across – Use for coffee and fine grinding
3 mm – 13 holes across – Use for smooth nut butter, baby food and purée
4 mm – 11 holes across – Use for chunky nut butter, smooth pesto
5 mm – 8 holes across – Use for juicing berries and non-fibrous produce
6 mm – 7 holes across – Use for non-fibrous produce and fibrous greens
7 mm – 6 holes across – All Purpose Grid – Use for all produce and fibrous greens
10 mm – 4 holes across – Use for big batch juicing and fibrous greens
I‘ve heard something about a 10-second rule when pressing? What’s that?
That refers to how long you can have the press fully engaged. We’ve designed the PURE Juicer so that is not an issue. It’s stout! There are no time limits.
How To Clean
How do I clean the feed tube?
Push the button on the side of the feed tube and turn it counter clockwise to remove. Then remove the grid tray and the grid. All can go in the dishwasher, or wash with soap and water.
Are all the stainless steel food contact parts dishwasher safe?
They are indeed.
What’s the right way to store juice cloths?
After using, wash them thoroughly in cold water. Fold the cloth lengthwise in thirds until you have a rectangle. Take the right end of the rectangle and fold it 2/3 of the way across. Take the left end and fold it across. Now, you have a nice square. Press the excess water out, stick it in a zip-lock bag and store in your freezer.
How long do juice cloths last?
It’s a matter of personal preference. We’ve innovated juicing cloths and our Gerson Institute approved LSHP Press Cloths should last as long as 6-12 months. Periodically soaking them overnight in a 3% Hydrogen Peroxide solution can extend life as well.
Some people like to juice citrus fruits (such as lemons or pineapple) on the PURE Juicers by slicing the fruit into thin slices, then placing directly on the juicing cloth, and skip the trituration. Others like to use a citrus juicer instead. Softer fruits typically don’t require trituration. However you prefer it.
